The natural Sarava lot is an exceptional blend of natrurally processed coffees grown at altitudes between 100-1500 metres above sea level (M.A.S.L) produced by the Urban family, a traditional coffee farming family of two generations. Of their farm - Rio Brilhante, 840 hectares are dedicated to coffee production. whilst 566 hectares set aside for preservation. They employ 87 locals and 197 temporary workers from surrounding areas. The farm is locatd in Minas Gerais, where many different varietals of coffee are grown, including catuai, and more exotic varieties such as Arara and Topazio.
Coffee is picked using machines and then hand sorted to remove any defected coffee cherries, leaving them to dry on a concrete patio for up to 8 days, before transferring to rotary dryers to finish the process.
